Thank you for sharing your super-duper writing, Hana! This is jam-packed with well-chosen images, as well as short sentences to create tension (i.e. He stood there still. / Where was he?).
Your use of the repetition, 'The more ..., the more ...' works really well to show us how busy the city was and how the man felt.
The more tall buildings there were, the more people.
The more he waited, the more he felt lonely.
