Children's writing: The Stairs - by Jayden

You have built tension as your character moves up the stairs, Jayden, by using lots of super techniques. For example, you tell us that Sophia quickly took each step. You then explain the sounds this makes by using onomatopoeia (Thump, Boom, Stomp). Then, by telling us she looks down, we know she's reached the top and it's very scary as she sees a dragon's shadow! Arghhhh!
