This course is for children who start Year 6 in September.

Join my popular 11+ exam creative writing course to ensure your child achieves fantastic results! This course is suitable to help prepare for independent school exams and some second-stage grammar school exams.

Who is this course suitable for?

The course suits children preparing for 11+ grammar (second stage) and independent school exams (in December and January). Please get in touch with Anna to discuss your target schools and the course curriculum before booking the course.

 

What this Year 6 course covers:

• Exam-style fiction writing.
• Exam-style non-fiction writing.
• All writing skills (planning, text structure with paragraphing, literary devices, language development, sentence structure and punctuation).

 

What your child will achieve:

• Confidence to plan and write exam texts, no matter how challenging.
• Expertise in all 11+ writing techniques.
• High-level 11+ vocabulary knowledge and application through 11+ literary devices.
• No more writing gaps.

 

Here’s what happens:

• Eight weekly classes (recorded so you can watch again).
  
• Weekly homework and meaningful video marking of class work and homework.
• Regular writing assessments and video feedback (with your target schools in mind) so you know exactly how your child is progressing.
  

Important details of our online classes:

• An 8-week course of 1.25 hours a week, led by a highly experienced and qualified teacher and tutor, Anna.
• Maximum class size of 6 students.
• Weekly lesson materials and personal feedback are shared via Dropbox.

Terms & Conditions:

• Once booked, places can be cancelled within seven days, and then places are non-refundable as per the Terms and Conditions.  Please first book a call with Anna to discuss the curriculum and its suitability for your child.
• If your child cannot attend a session, Anna will send the class recording, and work can still be submitted for marking.
• No refunds for missed classes can be made.
• Classes ARE recorded and shared just with the 6 students in the group.
• One learner per booking. If two children from the same household join, please use separate devices in separate rooms to maximise their individual learning.
• Cameras to remain on to help with interaction with others and teacher support and feedback.
