Can you think of a simile?

We all love a powerful simile to inject interest and variety in our writing.

A simile is a figure of speech. It is when one thing is compared to another using the words ‘like’ or ‘as’. Similes can be as descriptive as the writer chooses.

I just had to choose this image because it reminds me so much of mealtimes in my house!

What simile would you choose? You could even change the whole sentence.

Example:
1) The ravenous boy stared at the broccoli as if it were a creature from outer space.
