The Attic - by Amaira

What a lovely way to start this story about a secret attic, Amaira! Starting an opening sentence with a verb is a great technique. It makes me want to read on and discover what adventures your narrator had!
'Visiting my aunty and uncle in the country was always a treat because I got to go anywhere in the house.'
Also, you have set this story in 1917, and this makes the attic description intriguing to modern day readers - we want to know what it was like! What will the narrator find? Thank you for sharing your lovely writing!
It is also important to let people know that with your sister, Eva, you have written a fantastic collection of 8 short stories (fables) and they are for sale on Amazon. They are brilliantly written, funny and have amazing illustrations.
The book is called: Short Stories: By the children, for the children!: Amazon.co.uk: Deotale, Eva, Deotale, Amaira: 9798594992122: Books
All proceeds of your book sale go to the charity 'Being Purple' (www.beingpurple.co.uk), which is a charity to promote awareness around disability and inclusion.
