Thank you very much for sharing your writing with us, Sarah. I have to pinch myself that you are just 8 years old! This is a great piece of writing. Your openers are carefully chosen (As I gained consciousness... / Wondering in the abandoned land...) and really set the scene for each paragraph. You have included lots of figurative language, such as personification (The serene sea breeze was touching my face...). Also, it is impressive how you managed to tell a story in a short space of time and the conclusion was very believable. A huge well done!
